Lucas joined Dexter Rural Fire Protection District in June 2023 and serves as our B-Shift Lieutenant and EMT, as well as the department’s Training Officer.

He began his fire service career in 2016 as a Student Firefighter in Hood River, Oregon, earning his EMT certification in 2019. Since then, Lucas has worked for both ambulance-transporting and non-transporting agencies, gaining a wide range of EMS and fire service experience.

As Training Officer, Lucas is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering department training to ensure our firefighters and EMTs maintain the highest standards of readiness. His favorite part of the job is the variety—no two days are ever the same.
