Hello, my name is Larry Wooldridge and I started as the new Fire Chief at Dexter Fire District in December 2022.  I started as a volunteer firefighter when I was 16 years old and have been in the fire service for 35 years with 16 years’ experience as a Fire Chief. I am a member of one of the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Incident Management Team as a Line Safety Officer.  I spent 12 years in Northeast Oregon as a Fire Chief and was a member of the Northeast Oregon Type 3 Overhead Team.  I have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren.  When I’m not at work I enjoy working out, hiking, spending time at the coast and playing golf.
