 Assistant Chief Jason Lyda has proudly served Dexter Rural Fire Protection District since August 1999. Assistant Chief Lyda worked his way up from Firefighter, Lieutenant, and Captain in charge of training to Assistant Chief. Assistant Chief Lyda holds many certifications including his Instructor 1, EMT-Intermediate, Firefighter 2 and Engine Boss. Assistant Chief Lyda has attended numerous trainings including advance command class at the National Fire Academy. He has been deployed to numerous conflagrations throughout Oregon and California, and was assigned to operations and served as the districts’ conflagration Engine Boss. Assistant Chief Jason Lyda retired as of December 2020.
